The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata is started in 2021 with 60 intakes.

Computer Science and Business Systems is an emerging domain of Computer Science & Engineering which focuses on the knowledge of computer technologies and aligned business skills. The final goal of the program lies in producing skilled computer science engineers with in depth knowledge in business analytics, data analytics, business statistics, business systems etc. CSBS enjoys the latest state-of-the-art syllabus which is constantly monitored in accordance with the industry standards. The students are trained in courses corresponding to business and management values in addition to the core computer science and engineering courses. Hence, prospects of MBA post completion of the course rise exponentially, with equal provisions for M.Tech. and M.S. if a student is interested in higher studies.

The program is run in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) with skill outreach from the latter. Skill enhancement sessions and seminars are regularly organized from the second year of study itself by TCS for industry standard skill development.

The department organizes series of the seminar, webinar and workshops by eminent personalities from Industry, Academia and Professional bodies to upgrade the technical and teaching skill of the staff and student. The department encourages faculties and students to participate in National/International conferences to exhibit their ideas in the form of presentations and also publications in peer-reviewed Journals. To develop leadership qualities, students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Narula Institute of Technology has had the honor of having a host of Multinational Companies visit the campus be it, Infosys, ITC-Infotech, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, Wipro, IBM, BYJU’S, Accenture just to name a few. Our close industry connections with these organizations ensure better job opportunities for our students through the campus placement drives with astounding packages creating a niche in the professional world.

We welcome students to be the part of Narula Institute of Technology to experience a new journey for a successful engineering career.
