Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director of JIS Group Educational Initiatives, is chasing a dream that his father (Sardar Jodh Singh) cherished — "To empower lives through knowledge and education." Mr Singh heads the largest education service provider in Eastern India, with 25 educational institutes to its credit and an average of 25,000 students enrolled in diverse academic programmes. He has created new standards in quality self-financed and practical education with playing a pioneering role in laying the foundation of JIS University. One of his endeavours, a scheme called the JIS Sumedha Scholarship - provides bright but underprivileged children with the opportunity to study at minimal costs in any one of JIS's Institutions. Along with this, the launch of the IDEA-O-METER, a crowd funding initiative to fund innovations and ideas is also his brainchild. Conclusively, our honourable MD hopes his ventures can have a positive impact on education in the society.

In his words -- "I wish to thank you for showing interest in Narula Institute of Technology. JIS Group. We have been providing quality education for the past 20 years and over 5000 students have graduated from NiT since its inception in 2001. At NiT, students are expected to have an enriching and life-turning experience which will enable them to reach new heights in their professional life. We foster sharpening of skills and enhancement of knowledge base in our students through various extra-curricular, co-curricular and curricular activities through faculty who not only keep themselves at par with the current developments but also contribute to the expansion of the body of knowledge in their field of expertise.
