Narula Institute of Technology is a premier autonomous Engineering and Management Institute under the aegis of the JIS Group Educational Initiative, established in 2001 and located at Agarpara, Kolkata. The Institute is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT, WB), with all technical programs approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

It has consistently secured prestigious NIRF and NIRF Innovation rankings from the Ministry of Education, Government of India, from 2017 to 2025. The Institute offers NBA-accredited Engineering programs and proudly holds the distinguished NAAC ‘A’ accreditation. Additionally, it is recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, making it eligible for central assistance.

The B.Tech, M.Tech, BBA, and BCA-MCA programs are affiliated with MAKAUT, WB, while the diploma programs are affiliated under the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (Technical Education Division). Narula Institute of Technology was also selected under the prestigious World Bank-assisted and MHRD-approved TEQIP Phase-II initiative, a significant milestone aimed at enhancing technical education and institutional quality. To promote industry-oriented learning and advanced technological exposure, the Institute houses state-of-the-art Centres of Excellence, including the JIS Bosch Rexroth Centre of Excellence for Fluid Power Control Systems, the Blue Star Centre of Excellence, and a modern Apple Lab equipped with advanced technologies and industry-relevant tools. The campus also features advanced Language Laboratories developed with support from ORELL and ISILS, IIT Kharagpur.
