HOD Message

The Department of Computer Application is started in year 2004 with the introduction of the Master of Computer Application (MCA).The objective of the department is to produce world-class computer professionals in this fast-emerging and challenging field of Computer Applications. The department strives to empower the students with the latest technical knowledge and skills by providing them with the best teaching faculty, state-of-the-art lab facilities, excellent research and development environment. The motivation is not just to nurture their technical skills but to inculcate dynamic professionalism to become the best software professionals and entrepreneurs.

The department lays maximum stress on positive attitudes through counseling and student mentoring programs. Department adopted three prolonged strategies for counseling and guidance of students. Firstly, it is done at the level of the subject teacher. Secondly, at the level of the mentor who counsels the students on career, studies and personal problems and finally, at the level of TIC.

The department organizes series of the seminar, webinar and workshops by eminent personalities from Industry, Academia and Professional bodies to upgrade the technical and teaching skill of the staff and student. The department encourages faculties and students to participate in National/International conferences to exhibit their ideas in the form of presentations and also publications in peer-reviewed Journals. To develop leadership qualities, students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

The department has a team of experienced and competent faculty members. Innovative teaching techniques are used in classrooms to make teaching and learning more effective and interesting. The department is producing qualified MCA students and has gifted to the corporate world with highly creative, dedicated and committed professionals serving in most reputed IT Companies viz., Wipro, Infosys, TCS, CTS, Accenture, Capgemini, etc. Therefore, the department has a huge alumni network. The department of Computer Applications endeavors to provide the best professional opportunities to our students and look forward to their bright future. We as a team resolve to take the department to a height of success and glory and prepare for the forthcoming challenges.
