About the Hackathon

What is HACK-O-NiT?

A 24-hour intensive hackathon where teams tackle industry-defined AI problem statements, judged by industry experts.

HACK-O-NiT is the flagship hackathon of AI Utkarsh 2026, designed to challenge students and developers to build innovative AI solutions. Teams will work on real-world problem statements spanning six critical AI domains.

The hackathon features industry-defined problem statements, mentorship from experts, and evaluation by a jury from leading companies. It's your chance to showcase your skills, win prizes, and get noticed by top recruiters.

Guidelines

Hackathon Rules

01
Teams can consist of 2-4 members. Cross-college teams are allowed.
02
All submissions must be original work created during the hackathon period. Pre-built projects will be disqualified.

Projects must align with one of the six thematic tracks defined for the hackathon.

Teams must present a working prototype or demo during the final evaluation.

Judging criteria include innovation, technical complexity, real-world impact, and presentation quality.

The last date for submission/registration is 29th March, 2026.
